She was 100 years old.
APPRAISER: Oh, my goodness.
GUEST: Yeah.
So, um, the doll is quite old.
APPRAISER: Uh-huh.
GUEST: Do you have a date for the doll?
I'm not sure whether it was Mama's, or whether it belonged to her aunt.
APPRAISER: Um, yes, we can date the doll based on the style to be between 1850 and 1870.
GUEST: Uh-huh, so that would have been her aunt's doll.
APPRAISER: Right.
GUEST: And, oh, a number of years ago I had her dressed and we left her old slip£ APPRAISER: Right.
GUEST: ...and her little panties on.
So there£ APPRAISER: Oh, that's wonderful.
GUEST: There, the old part, unfortunately, she lost a leg£ APPRAISER: Right.
GUEST: ...somewhere along the way.
APPRAISER: Well, it's interesting 'cause this doll is, um, a China-head doll.
GUEST: Yes.
APPRAISER: Um, it actually comes from Germany.
Based on the condition and the size and all, probably worth about $400.
Um, but it's nice that she's in the south and with you.
GUEST: I have her on the bed in an upstairs bedroom.
(laughs) APPRAISER: Oh, good!
So a vital spot.
GUEST: So she's right at-- she's right at home.
APPRAISER: Good, good.
Well, thank you very much for bringing her in today.
GUEST: Well, thank you.
